Ribble Steam Railway

Enjoy a trip on the scenic Ribble Steam Railway. Steam trains run on this heritage line between February and September, on Saturdays, bank holidays and for special events.

Heritage train rides are a three-mile return trip during which you'll cross the dock swing bridge, (a unique feature of this line) and travel along the bank of the River Ribble enjoying views of Preston.

Odin's Bowl

Named after the Norse God Odin, Odin's Bowl is a boutique bowling alley where every detail has been given careful thought, including the interactive lighting scheme and English walnut-coloured lanes.

The Crafty Potter is a well-equipped pottery studio that offers a range of classes and pottery experiences for adults:

  • Pottery Taster Class: Up to 5 people can learn clay hand-building in this 2.5-hour session which is suitable for beginners.
  • Half-Day Experience: Up to 5 people will learn how to use a potter's wheel to make a cup or jug.
  • Experience Day: Learn to use a potter's wheel to make a cup or jug, add a handle and decorate with clay. After lunch, try your hand at glazing with underglazes.
