Kent is known as the Garden of England because the good weather and fertile soils mean a large amount of food is grown in the county.

The county is also well-known for its hops and the distinctive oast houses used to dry them.

Take a Distillery Tour and Tasting where you can see the still and distilling equipment and have a tutored tasting session.

On the "Cocktail Masterclass & Canapés" evening, you'll learn how to create three classic cocktails and enjoy delicious canapés from Frederic Bistro.

If you're partial to a G&T, the "Guided Gin Making Experience" is perfect for you. In this hands-on session, you'll learn the craft of distilling and even create your very own unique bottle of gin to take home.

The Panic Room

With 16 escape rooms to choose from, the Panic Room is home to the UK's largest selection of escape room experiences.

Grown-ups might enjoy the horror-themed rooms:

  • "The Doll House" is a serial killer themed escape room that starts in the pitch black.
  • "The Happy Institute" includes a live actor and a medical testing facility where something's not quite right.
  • "The Sacrifice" - is an escape van, but you only have 30 minutes to get out!
  • "Hell House" is a large multi-level escape room and the most difficult of all the rooms. You have 75 minutes - but you'll need them.

Take a guided tour through the beautiful Kent countryside on an E-Bike.

In the morning you'll visit Yotes Court for a fascinating vineyard tour followed by a delicious lunch and tasting of their still and sparkling wines.

Then it's back on your E-bikes for a leisurely ride to Mereworth Wines for an hour's winery tour and wine tasting.

Chimera Climbing Centre

Indoor climbing is booming in popularity, and no wonder - it's great exercise, and great fun too.

Chimera Climbing Centre in Canterbury is run by climbers, and it has some of the best bouldering facilities in this part of the country.

Bouldering is climbing without ropes, and Chimera has a wide range of challenging routes that will suit beginners as well as more experienced climbers.

Just turn up, watch a safety video and get going - you don't need expensive equipment and you can rent climbing shoes from reception.

Strokes Adventure Golf

Kentish Lady River Cruises

Based in Maidstone, Kentish Lady River Cruises give you a new perspective on the beautiful Kent countryside from the Upper River Medway.

Between spring and autumn, you can book a 1-hour cruise at weekends from Maidstone to Allington Lock, or 3-hour lunch/supper cruises on weekdays between Maidstone and Teston.

Alternatively, there's the Allington Castle Cruise which includes a visit to Allington Castle that will see you arrive in style!
