A short break in London - The London Eye The royalty and establishment tour starts with a visit to the London Eye. This amazing modern attraction is proving to be a hugely popular draw, affording spectacular views in addition to being a jaw-dropping sight in itself. Thereafter, a stroll south along the Thames will bring you to Westminster Bridge.

On crossing, you'll take in the iconic river-view of the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, both world-famous landmarks. A visit to the Cabinet War Rooms on King Charles Street is an interesting detour as you make your way up Whitehall past the Cenotaph towards Downing Street, home to British Prime Ministers since the 1730s. Following Whitehall, you soon arrive at Trafalgar Square, one of London's most popular tourist destinations, with Nelson's Column resplendent at the centre.

A short break in London - Visit with the Royals at Buckingham Palace! No Short Break in London would be complete without a visit to the Royal family, and heading down the Mall from Trafalgar Square will take you to another iconic Landmark, Buckingham Palace, which has been open to the public since 1933.

If you're not Londoned-out by now then a short stroll along Buckingham Gate will take you to Royal Mews, the stables and coach houses for the horses, coaches and motorcars used on official Royal events. These include the breathtaking, 4 ton Gold State Coach.

A short break in London - The V&AA popular way of unwinding on your short break in London is to take a trip to South Kensington and spend some time exploring one or more of the three neighbouring museum - the Victoria and Albert (The V&A), the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum.

A short stroll north towards Kensington Road will take you to another famous landmark, the Royal Albert Hall. Thereafter, turning left on Kensington Road will take you to the shops and bustle of Kensington High Street.
