Things to do in Benacre, Suffolk
The village of Benacre lies on the main A12 trunk road between the villages of Wrentham and Kessingland and naturally a part of the vast Benacre Estate which incorporates nearby villages, with it's offices being situated at Hall Farm
The nearest town is Lowestoft which is within easy reach either by private or public transport.
Sadly the Church is now redundant although well maintained.
Benacre Hall which stands in spacious parkland has recently been converted into very desirable rentable properties which, due to the location are not visible from the road thereby providing ample privacy.
The village is purely agricultural, with farmlands, woods and heaths. It also has a bird sanctuary and broad which is maintained by 'English Nature' and is close to the coast making it an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The beach is between Covehithe and Kessingland and is very popular with walkers, tide times must always be checked before venturing along the beach.
Sadly, along with other coastal areas, the north sea is encroaching more and more each year.
