Things to do in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire

Woodhall Spa, an Edwardian Spa town, which still has space and elegance, with its wide tree-lined avenues.

Woodhall Spa Championship Golf Course; the English Golfing Union has recently relocated its headquarters to Woodhall Spa. A second golf course has recently been completed complementing the existing championship course.

The Cottage Museum tells the history of the spa, photography from the turn of the century by John Wield is on show and memorabilia from 617 Squadron.

Kinema in the Wood - an early cinema which opened in 1922, in what was formerly a sports pavilion. Films are still shown using a rare original rear projection unit.

St. Leonard, Kirkstead - built amongst the ruins of Kirkstead Abbey and perhaps the most perfect 13th century church anywhere.

Woodhall Spa attracts anglers to the Rivers Bain and Witham. The town is surrounded by pine and birch woodland, which walkers on the Viking Way route will enjoy, as they pass through the town.
