Halesworth is a very interesting market town with ancient and modern buildings.

The main thoroughfare is now pedestrianised allowing for shopping, or just window shopping to be done in a nice relaxing environment. A convenient car park is close by.

The Church of St. Mary along with the War Memorial stands proudly at the far end of the shopping area.

There is a modern library situated in the centre of town also the Angel Hotel which was an old Coaching Inn.

The London Liverpool Street train calls in at the station on its route to Lowestoft, but the station building is now the local museum and well worth a visit to discover what the town and area was like in former years.

The nearest seaside is the unspoilt town of Southwold which can be reached by private or public transport.

One of the regular bus services from Halesworth calls in at Southwold and other destinations on its way to the large seaside town of Lowestoft.

Halesworth has a certain charm and is well worth a visit.
