Ufford has been by-passed by the A12 trunk road and lies approximately 12 to 13 miles from the town of Ipswich.

The western part of the village is on the B1438 which was previously the main road before the construction of the A12, here can be found the 'Crown Inn' Public House.

The heart of this small village is in Lower Ufford centred around the church.

The locality is very interesting with its listed buildings, pretty thatched houses, and the old stocks and whipping post.

The 11c Church itself is a 'must' to visit, take time to browse the interior, displaying the 'Stations of the Cross' around the walls and the beautifull 15c 18ft hanging font cover.

There is no main road through the village but a by-road leads to Wickham Market.

In a different direction heading towards the village of Melton is the spacious popular hotel namely 'Ufford Park', with leisure facilities and a large golf course.

Ufford is a unique little village and well worth a visit.
