Argyll and Bute

Bunessan, the largest village on the Ross of Mull and by far the largest place between Craignure and Fionnphort.

The village is situated mainly around the head of Loch Na Lathaid and receives extra shelter from the island Eilean Be'n.

In the 1700's it was mainly a fishing village and today is still an active lobster fishery; catching some of the largest lobsters off the west coast of Scotland.

The facilities in the village include a Hotel with restaurant, a Fish Restaurant, Post Office, two licensed grocer shops, a gift shop and a council run, Mull Exchange Swap Shop (charity shop).
