Rowan cottage within the village of Salen, has been our family home for three generations and was recently upgraded for self catering.
The centrally heated cottage, offers comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people in one double and one twin bedroom, a fully fitted dining kitchen, cosy sitting room with open fire, which also runs the central heating.
Lounge seating, TV, Video and CD player and a shower room.
In the summer you will find the cottage ablaze with flowering baskets and pots and at the front of the cottage there is seating for 2.
The cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the island, with the main town of Tobermory only 10 miles to the North.
For the Munro climbers, Ben More is only 7 miles from the cottage and is one of the few where the climb starts at sea level.
Within the village you will find a hotel, which is only a 5 min walk form the door, a small grocery shop, post office, petrol station, church and a restaurant.
The island cottage hospital is also located within the village.

On Arrival at Craignure ferry terminal, turn right and travel 10 miles to the village of Salen.
On entering the village you will pass a two storey building on your right, the cottage is the third on the right after this. |
