The world Famous Middleham Jewel
This example of English Gothic jewellery is on display in the Medieval Gallery. The Middleham Jewel, a gold pendant adorned with a magnificent sapphire, was found in 1985, not far from Middleham Castle, once the home of King Richard III.
St. Mary's Abbey and Medieval Yorkshire
The Yorkshire Museum is set in the beautiful Museum Gardens in the heart of York, and part of York's Roman city wall runs through these stunning botanical gardens.
