A listed Georgian building dating from the 1750's is the perfect setting for Lowewood Museum's impressive collection. Discover the fascinating story of the local area through displays of geology, social history and photographs of town life in the 19th century. The thriving temporary exhibitions gallery is also not to be missed.
Most of the objects in the museum were donated by members of the local community. If you have an item that has historical links to the Borough of Broxbourne, please contact the Museum Curator before you dispose of it.
The museum can provide a free identification service for your unusual objects. Please contact the curator. Note: valuations cannot be given.
Pre-booked groups from schools, clubs and societies are welcome on Mondays and Tuesdays. Please contact the curator to make suitable arrangements. Maximum 35. Please note that wheelchair access is available on ground floor only.
