Otley is a market town situated in the Wharf Valley and is the Birth place of Thomas Chippendale.

It is a busy place once known for having many public houses. The town has a very nice park next to the river Wharf with a bowling green and childrens' play area.

The main street has a variety of shops and a Butter Cross where you can sit and watch the world go by. At one end of the main street is the Parish church and at the other stands the Jubilee Clock.

Otley is overlooked by the Chevin, which is part of the Pennine chain. It is a very beautiful area with many walks and magnificent views.

If you are out an about early enough you may even catch site of a Deer. The Chevin is used for site seeing, dog walking, mountain biking and horse riding.

Otley has its own hospital and is close to the cities of Leeds and Bradford. Also near by are Ilkley and Harrogate.

Otley has appeared in many TV programmes including Emmerdale and The Chase.

There are several restaurants, fish shops and bakers.

For shopping, Site seeing or just relaxing, Otley is well worth a visit.
