Llyswen, in the Upper Wye Valley, is noted for its beauty and tranquillity and is a wonderful location for those wanting a quiet holiday. The River Wye is famous for its excellent salmon and trout fishing and is popular with canoeists shooting the rapids.

Llyswen has often won 'Best Kept Village of the Year' for its mass of hanging baskets, tubs and well tended flower beds.

For the keen fisherman there is Dderw Farm with carp ponds. The Bridge End and Griffin Inn both serve good food while the famous and luxurious Llangoed Hall Hotel is nearby.

Llyswen is approximately 10 miles from Brecon and 7 miles from Builth Wells.
