Things to do in Pennymoor, Devon
Pennymoor is a lovely little village in the parish of Cruwys Morchard near Tiverton, mid Devon.
There is a lovely inn in the centre of the village called the Cruwys Arms where the Pennymoor Singaround regularly meet to make sweet music. Meals are on offer with a skittle alley and a pool or darts room.
The local businesses, besides farms, are an MOT station and a saw mill, Pennymoor Timber.
There is a parish hall in Cruwys Morchard, just across the road from the Parish Church where worship takes place every Sunday and seasonal fairs and concerts etc are arranged for the community. The parish church also produces the parish magazine, Today, on a bi-monthly basis.
Pennymoor Congregational Church has worship on Sundays and a coffee morning with crafts or sales on the first Saturday of every month. There is also afternoon tea on the second Wednesday of the month. The Parish council meet in Pennymoor Congregational church on the third Thursday evening of the month, when there is business to conduct.
More information can be found in the Today magazine or through the dedicated web sites of the individual businesses and churches.
