At the Welsh Hawking Centre you will see over 200 Birds of Prey including Eagles, Owls, Hawks, Falcons and Buzzards. They can be seen and photographed in the mews, weathering ground, breeding and if you are fast enough, flying! We pride ourselves on the personal contact we have with our visitors, so please ask any of the staff any questions or help you may need.
Things to See and Do
Breeding: our domestic breeding programme is extremely successful using both natural and artificial techniques. If you visit in the spring or summer you will be able to watch this and the raising of the babies.Animals: there are lots of very tame animals roaming free in the park, ducks, geese, chickens and rabbits. They will take great pleasure in relieving you of any spare food! There are also old fashioned farmyard animals to make friends with.
There are Flying Demonstrations every day at, 11.30am, 2.30pm and 3.30pm weather permitting. Falconry courses are available throughout the year, please telephone for details.
