In a land of castles, lakes and a dragon Horsham Museum stands out as a place you must visit. Rich in history, it is like no other. With a myriad of rooms and galleries squeezed into a timber framed merchants house the Museum displays over 100 years of collecting.
From unique dinosaur bones to bicycles, from domestic crafts to farming equipment Horsham Museum has something for everyone. With ever changing displays and temporary exhibitions there is always something going on.
The Museum puts on several temporary exhibitions a year. The Museum staff are willing to help identify objects or offer advice but cannot offer valuations. The Museum houses some 25,000 documents on the town and the district. These may be viewed after consulting the catalogue and arranging a suitable time. The shop sells a small range of souvenirs, postcards, books, maps etc.
The Museum could not run without volunteer help, if you would like to help please contact the curator at the above address.
The museum also has two small walled gardens and is licensed to hold weddings.
