The Angel of the North is a familiar site to motorists traveling on the A1. Whether you're a big fan of the sculpture, or not, this interview with its creator Antony Gormley is very interesting.

The Angel of the North weighs 200 tonnes, stands 20 metres tall and has a wingspan of more than 50 metres (more than a 757 aircraft in fact). It's Britain's largest sculpture and fast becoming an iconic landmark of the North East.
