Things to do in Wigtoft, Lincolnshire

Wigtoft is a small village neighbouring Sutterton, Kirton, Donington and Swineshead in Lincolnshire. A small village with history dating back to the Viking settlements, Wigtoft is a friendly and welcoming place.

There are still many of the old traditions being kept in place within the village by a vibrant and active community. The annual Harvest Festival being just one of the traditional times celebrated with much merriment in the village. Christmas carols are still sung in the village square and the usual celebrations continue throughout the year. Both the local pub, The Golden Fleece and the Village Hall are made good use of for community get-togethers.

The Church of St. Peter and St. Paul has many interesting and unique points of interest including an ancient altar cloth and Books of Remembrance of The Fallen from two World Wars.

Wigtoft is mainly an agricultural village, with a considerable number of retired people who have chosen this quiet yet community spirited place to call home.
