Things to do in Marazion, Cornwall |
Marazion is Cornwall's oldest charter town, it has a cluster of cottages set among winding streets and palm trees, which overlooks Mounts Bay. From here you can see the medieval towers and chimneys of St. Michael's Mount, appearing like a fairy castle, which lies two hundred yards offshore.
A causeway runs from Marazion to St. Michael's Mount and at low tide it is possible to walk across the sands and up the steep cobbled pathway to the castle on this tiny island. At high tide the island can be reached by ferryboat from Marazion.
