Fife

Culross is a beautiful village situated on the banks of the Firth of Forth in the county of Fife. Steeped in history the village has kept its original 17th and 18th century buildings, several of which are owned by the National Trust for Scotland.

Most of the doorways and windows have stories to tell about their heritage and owners, the oldest house in the village dates back to 1577. Culross is a place where many are born and live their entire lives. It has been the setting for many historical films.

King James 1st stayed in the palace and St. Mungo was raised in the monastery that once was there. Culross is a very photogenic village with friendly pubs.
