Things to do in St. Agnes, Cornwall

The charming village of St. Agnes lies inland north of Truro. A mining village retaining links with its industrial past. Famous for the row of Stippy Stappy sea captain's cottages and surrounded by mine engine houses. There are craft Shops and art galleries. Two good surfing beaches.
Wheal Coates - A 19th century tin mine sited spectacularly on the cliff edge. There are traces of earlier workings in the vicinity.
Blue Hills Tin Streams - Discover skills of the ancient tinner on the fascinating journey from rock to metal. In a valley steeped in mining history, rock is crushed under Cornish Stamps powered by a water wheel. Giftware for sale made from the tin produced.
St. Agnes Museum - From Tin Mining to Turtles, Fishing to Folklore, St. Agnes has probably one of the best museums in Cornwall.
