Things to do in Deeping St. James, Lincolnshire

Deeping St. James - a picturesque village lying next to Market Deeping, along the banks of the River Welland. The village grew up around a Benedictine Priory and stones from the ruined Priory have been used in several 17th century buildings.

The Priory Church of St. James - 12th century and once part of the Benedictine Priory. The early Georgian tower is itself a rarity.

The Cross - an ancient monument converted into the village lock up in 1819. Three stone seats with chains can still be seen inside.
