Hidden garden
Hidden away in a quiet corner of east Dorset is the garden of internationally acclaimed plantsman Neil Lucas.Strolling around this secluded four-acre garden you'll discover rare and unusual trees and shrubs, quiet places of contemplation and dramatic focal points, from the
fabulous Dragon Garden to the glorious grassy Decennium Border.
With over 5,000 plant species, including many rare and native varieties, this is not a garden that is set in time. Knoll is constantly evolving, celebrating a way of gardening that welcomes wildlife, encourages true sustainability and has year-round beauty as a direct result of its guiding principles.
The Nursery at Knoll
In addition to the looking after the garden, Knoll's onsite nursery grows and sells a vast range of grasses and select perennials including an increasing number of native species and some rather unusual shrubs. And, as proud holders of nine consecutive Chelsea Gold Medals, the quality of all plants sold is always a top priority.National showcase
In addition to housing three National Collections, Knoll Gardens features frequently in both the national press and on television. Knoll is right at the forefront of the modern style of gardening: introducing, growing and showing new plants nationally from its glorious Dorset gardens.Events
Master Classes, demonstrations and guided walks take place throughout the season. These provide the perfect opportunity to see and experience at first hand the techniques that have placed Knoll at the forefront of horticultural excellence.Plant sales
Personal visitors are welcome at the nursery. Alternatively a regularly updated online service, and active free plant club, is also available via our comprehensive website.|
