Edmondsham House and Gardens

Edmonsham House is a fine Tudor Manor House with Georgian additions, which has remained within the ownership of the same family since the sixteenth Century.

This a family home and a conducted tour is given by the owner.

Edmonsham House Gardens has 6 acres of lawns, shrubs and trees and lovely spring bulbs. The fine walled garden has a herbaceous border and gives the keen gardener the opportunity to see organic gardening in practice.

Occasional courses on organic gardening are run and demonstrations can be arranged for interested groups. For details please telephone.

An Octagonal Victorian Dairy is of particular interest and can be seen at the end of the tour of the House.

Within the grounds of Edmondsham House the site of a medieval cock fighting pit can be seen.

The Stable Block, in its original state, but now housing more modern modes of transport, is a fine example of Victorian Architecture.
