Compton Acres invites you to escape to a different world. Individual themed gardens set in ten acres with spectacular views over Poole Harbour, Brownsea Island and the Purbeck Hills. It's a uniquely beautiful journey of discovery.
The Roman Garden - The Romans colonised Dorset for nearly four hundred years, leaving a legacy of formalised circular gardens such as this, complete with fountains and statuary.
The Italian Garden -
A spectacular hymn to symmetry, here is formality at its grandest; an outdoor gallery of statues set amongst grass-bordered beds and exquisite ornamental pool.
Palm Court – Four mature palm trees, pool and beautiful marble statue.
The Woodland Walk - Walkways wind around a wild woodland, within sight and sound of a majestic waterfall, across wooden bridges and
a viewing terrace.
The Water Garden - A beautiful water garden with many pools and vistas, stocked with coy fish and terrapins and fragrant flora.
The Heather Dell - With a great variety of heathers tumbling down terraces, flowering at different times of year - even winter.
The Japanese Garden - Providing a breathtaking finale to the tour, this wholly authentic Japanese garden incorporates a thatched temple and the Imperial Tea House, while exuding oriental mysticism and exoticism.
