Breakfast in your conservatory, explore the glorious Borders countryside, the characterful towns & stunning coast, then relax in the superb comfort of your cottage at Burnbrae
We have three cottages lovingly created within a long stone barn. Each is light and airy, spacious, generously equipped, comfortable accommodation for two. Extra beds available. Heating throughout. All of the rooms are on the same level, with level access from the large, private car park. Cars can approach close to the main entrance of each cottage for loading. Dogs are allowed in one cottage, the other two cottages are kept totally pet-free.
Relax in your south-facing conservatory, or in a recliner on the patio, watching the wildlife, admire the garden, walk in our fields and along the riverside or snuggle-up in front of your cosy log-burning fire.
Within 40 minutes' drive of Edinburgh, fishing villages, superb coastal scenery, Borders' towns, Cheviot and Ettrick Hills. Ideal for discovering the fascinating history of the area, visiting the wealth of abbeys, gardens and stately homes which are found nearby (Floors Castle and Mellerstain are just a few minutes away). Just 5km from Kelso with its splendid square, abbey ruins and individual shops.
The quiet country roads are a joy for motorists and cyclists alike. More adventurous mountain bikers can test their nerves on the Glentress trails. For the less daring, the Borders offers a wide variety of golf courses, fishing, horse-riding, walking - from strenuous hikes up the Cheviot to peaceful strolls amongst the splendid Borders scenery - or admiring the textiles, pottery, woodwork and paintings on show in the numerous studios and galleries to be found within the area... and you can return to relax in the peace of Burnbrae.
The owners live on site and are pleased to help guests with information and other assistance. Free Internet access.
Independent reviews, up-to-date availability, offers and online booking option are accessible via the owners' website. If you prefer, please telephone or e-mail - we hope to have the opportunity of welcoming you to Burnbrae.
