In 2009, Thorpe Park unleashes extreme terror with the hotly anticipated launch of SAW - The Ride on 14th March to kick-start the official season opening.
The first ever horror movie themed coaster, SAW - The Ride is based on the hugely popular blood, gore and suspense based horror film franchise, 'Saw' from Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures. With the recent Worldwide success of Saw V, Thorpe Park promises the ride will continue to torment and terrify all visitors and fans.
The new rollercoaster will test the nerve of all who dare ride it by placing them at the mercy of the film's master manipulator, Jigsaw to endure a 'beyond vertical' drop of 100º from a terrifying height of 100ft, as
well as three death defying inversions.
Extreme Thrills
For the more extreme thrills, Thorpe Park is the 'must do' destination for adrenaline junkies! Those who are brave enough can ride the 'Unholy Trinity': allow yourself to be propelled from 0-80mph in less than 2 seconds to the jaw-dropping height of 205 ft, as you experience the might of Stealth; feel the heat of Nemesis Inferno as you plunge into the fires of a volcano at an incredible G-Force of 4.5; and if your nerves are still intact, complete the trinity on Colossus, the world's first ten-looping rollercoaster.
Exhilarating RidesIf all that isn't enough excitement for one day, the thrills continue on Rush, the world's biggest air-powered speed swing, and Detonator where riders will feel the power of gravity as they drop towards the crowds below! Water babies will love a soaking on Tidal Wave and feel your stomach spin as you are spiralled high into the air by the mighty Vortex.
Family Fun'Adrenalin junkies in training' can also find plenty of exhilarating rides to suit them too. Head to Neptune's Beach for a paddle or take a trip to the Octopus Garden where even the youngest thrill hunters will be able to play on the Happy Halibuts and Fantasy Fish. Venture into Time Voyagers, a fantastic 4D movie experience, taking you on a journey of uncharted territories as you go in search of a lost group of archaeologists.
And the thrills aren't just exclusive to the rides. There are food outlets throughout the Park offering a wide range of delicious meals and healthy snacks, all of which are easy to spot as a result of our 'Healthier Choices' logo. You can also try the magnificent Glasshouse Kitchen & Bar where we have recently introduced a range of Healthy Eating kids meals endorsed by leading food and nutrition expert Annabel Carmel.
