Painshill Park is one of the most important 18th century landscapes in Europe. It was created by the Hon. Charles Hamilton between 1738 and 1773 as a series of subtle and surprising scenes. Within Painshill Park's 158 acres, the Hamilton Landscapes include a Gothic Temple, Chinese Bridge, Crystal Grotto, 18th century plantings, National Collection of American trees and shrubs, Turkish Tent, Gothic Tower, Hermitage, 2.5acre vineyard, Surrey's largest working Waterwheel, 14 acre Serpentine lake.

Education - there is a well equipped education centre with qualified teacing staff on site. We run a full programme of school visits, birthday parties, lifelong learning, all Key Stages, Adult Higher Education, Informal Learning and free Lunchtime Talks - Please telephone +44 (0) 1932 868 113.

Pre-booked Adult groups of 10+ £5.80 per person; Optional guided tours £1.00 extra per person.

Prices include a voluntary 10% donation for restoration

via M25 junction 10 and A3 Exit at junction with A245 (towards Cobham). Entrance opposite Territorial Army Centre, 200 metres east of A245/A307 roundabout.
