Where better to find out about the history of golf than at St Andrews, the home of golf? This award winning Museum uses a mixture of highly visual displays and exciting interactives to explore over 500 years of golfing history.
The exhibitions take you on a round of golf history. See the clubs and balls used in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries and learn about the great early champions of the game. Moving forward you will be brought into the world of the modern players where you can see clubs used by them, clothes worn by them and medals won by them.
Find out about the origins of the game or Alice in Wonderland's connection with golf. There is something of interest for everyone in the Museum's unique range of displays.
After learning about the history of the game, The 18th Hole lets you try it out! Here you can test your skills on the mini-putting green using replica clubs and balls from the past. There are many "hands-on" activities to amuse all the family. You can try dressing up in old-fashioned golf clothing or see if you can lift a modern professional's golf bag!
