Manor Farm is located in the historic village of Teversal in the Nottinghamshire countryside and is mentioned in the Doomsday Book of 1086. Now a separate residence, Manor Farm Cottage welcomes you with an open plan, fully equipped kitchen, and lounge, complete with period fireplace and French doors leading out to the lawn with a beautiful view of the Meden valley.
An ideal base to explore Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire, great for walking, cycling and visiting National Trust properties & stately homes.
Fully refurbished in 2011, the cottage provides excellent self catering accommodation with a traditional feel and modern comforts throughout.
On the first floor are three bedrooms with restored pine shutters, tastefully decorated and furnished. A king size bedroom (which can be made a twin if desired) with views over the countryside, a twin room with views over the countryside and a further double bedroom, altogether sleeping six in comfort.
Relax in the roll top slipper bath in the bathroom, which also has a separate shower cubicle, WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.
For an original touch of the Victorian era why not use the separate Victorian style toilet – almost throne like!
The property is surrounded by gardens, lawns, an orchard and views over open countryside. There is plenty of room for children to play or why not sit out on the rear lawn and enjoy the peace and tranquillity. Bring your own bicycles and enjoy riding around the open countryside in the local area, as well as the ‘Teversal Trails’, which provide great walking and cycling opportunities on the former lines of the Midland and Great Northern railways. If you do not have your own bicycles then we have a selection available (please ask prior to booking).
There is ample parking to the front of the property.
Golf, a driving range, fishing and horse riding are all available locally.
