Nestling in quiet countryside on the Pennine Way, this traditional cosy cottage is conveniently situated alongside the Ancient Unicorn a quiet, traditional sixteenth century coaching inn serving excellent food.

One twin bedroom with en-suite (shower cubicle, bidet, basin and WC).
Fitted kitchen. Sitting room with sofa bed, electric fire and dining table. Heating from storage heaters throughout. Focal electric fire in sitting room. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, colour TV-DVD with Freeview, additional video player in bedroom.
All fuel, power, bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for one car. Bench seating by front door. Well behaved dogs welcome providing they stay downstairs.
The village of Bowes is situated in unspoilt countryside and has a long history dating back to the Romans. Its most famous landmark is Bowes Castle. Bowes also has a significant connection with Charles Dickens.
A few minutes away is the lovely market town of Barnard Castle, with medieval ruins towering over the river. Nearby are the Pennine and Teesdale Ways, beautiful Swaledale, the River Tees and the magnificent waterfalls at High Force.
The east coast of Yorkshire and the Cumbrian Lakes are within easy reach.
