The magnificent Carew Castle just down the lane.
Take a few minutes walk down the country lane to Carew Castle. Set in a stunning location, overlooking a 23-acre millpond, Carew Castle is one of the must-visited attractions in Pembrokeshire.
Take a delightful circular walk around the millpond – which has become a haven for birdwatchers – across a medieval bridge and up to the castle. On your way, you will pass the only restored Tidal Mill in Wales and you can view the impressive 11th century Celtic cross situated at the front of the castle.
Excellent dining at Carew’s village pub.
Just in front of the castle is the village pub – The Carew Inn, with an excellent reputation for first class food and drink. What better than a gentle evening stroll from the cottage, around the millpond to the pub for a delicious meal.
Safe, private garden
Hillside’s large, private garden is secluded, and well away from the lane so children and pets can play safely, under supervision, while you take in the views over the fields. There is a barbecue and garden furniture for you to enjoy al fresco dining!
