The lodge is situated on the Cowal Peninsula of Argyll between Loch Eck and the Holy Loch, six miles North of Dunoon and is set in a small group of privately owned log cabins, collectively known as Lamont Lodges.
Ard Darach is Gaelic for Great Oak and it is from an adjacent large mature tree that the lodge takes its name. The tree dominates the view from the lounge window, and it is a haven for song birds by day, owls at night and is regularly frequented by red squirrels.
The accommodation consists of a lounge, kitchen-diner, one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms.
Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty within Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, it is a superb location to enjoy outdoor activities such as walking, mountain biking, fishing, Munro bagging and watching wildlife.
