Welcome to Hedgehope Cottage, great self-catering accommodation on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.
This delightful Holy Island / Lindisfarne cottage is situated on the tranquil village green, close to St. Mary's Church, Lindisfarne Priory and the beach where the famous ruins of Cuddy's Chapel lie on the aptly named St. Cuthbert's Island.
Hedgehope Cottage is beautifully and sympathetically decorated, cosy yet spacious and fully equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Hedgehope's situation on Fiddlers Green makes it an ideal base for exploring the historically rich and diverse Holy Island, there are beautiful, secluded beaches and coves where you will most likely be the only visitor, rolling grassy dunes that are rich in flora and fauna. The stunning natural scenery of Holy Island is a fine place to observe the great variety of birds that visit and stay on the island. There are the romantic ruins of the well kept Lindisfarne Priory and the imposing landmark of Lindisfarne Castle atop Beblowe Crag. After a day of good sea air and beautiful sights, enjoy the atmosphere and a traditional drink at one of the village pubs or simply relax and contemplate the the breathtaking sunsets from the Heugh or from the beach a short stroll from the cottage......
Situated on a tranquil village green, Hedgehope Cottage is ideally suited to couples or families, there are 2 comfortable bedrooms (1 Super King Size) and 1 bedroom with bunk beds upstairs.
Downstairs there is a spacious living room with comfortable seating, to relax in front of the cast iron cottage log burner, after the fresh sea air and beautiful scenery,
There is also a digital TV with DVD player, stereo radio-CD player.
The newly re-furbished open plan kitchen-diner has all of the conveniences to make your stay a pleasure.
It is a fantastic place to recharge your batteries and discover the beautiful and diverse nature of this unspoilt part of England.

From The South - Take the A1 North, then approx 8 miles South of Berwick-upon-Tweed turn right (sign posted Holy Island) at the hamlet of BEAL and a fuel station / hotel Lindisfarne Hotel then proceed for 2 miles to the causeway then the further 4 miles onto the island. Turn right at the junction then turn left at the next junction and proceed for 100yards.
