Kintore cottage is a traditional lock keepers cottage built around 1830 and is situated on the side of the Caledonian Canal in Fort Augustus.
The cottage has been completely upgraded and extended, to offer high quality self catering accommodation.
Kintore is available for self catering for up to 4 people in one double and one twin room.
Within the confortable sitting room there is a wood-burning stove, which supplies the central heating,it also includes the television, CD player and DVD player.
The dining kitchen if fully equipped with oak table and chairs.
Kitchen appliances include washing machine , fridge freezer, oven and hob plus microwave. A tumble dryer is available in the out house.
Kintore's prime location make it an ideal base to explore Loch-Ness and the surrounding area;it also offers great oppurtunities to participate in both summer and winter activities incl. walking, fishing, cycling,climbing, ski-ing and much more.

By car you travel up the A82 through Fort william to Fort Augustus. Take a sharp left turn after crossing the canal swing bridge.
The cottage is located 200m up the road on the canalside. If travelling South from Inverness again take the A82 to Fort Augustus and turn right before crossing the canal swing bridge. |
