The location of the cottage gives easy access to the attractions of Sherwood Forest and Nottinghamshire. This beautifully restored early Victorian cottage is situated in the conservation area on the edge of a quiet village.
The cottage sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms (one double bed & 2 singles + cot/bunk beds available on request). There is a bed settee in the sitting room that can accommodate a further 2 guests. The cottage stands in its own garden which is lawned with flower beds and mature trees. The large south facing sheltered garden is perfect for relaxing.
Under floor central heating, gas and electricity are included.
The original 2 up, 2 down cottage has been fully restored and has been sensitively extended at the rear in keeping with the style of the original cottage. Most rooms have beams and there are internal old pine shutters in the upstairs rooms. There is a large south facing patio and a range of outbuildings. 3 cars can be parked on the drive.
The property has been assessed as 4 stars in the Quality in Tourism awards of VisitBritain.

Walesby is signposted from the Markham moor interchange on the A1 and from the A614, north of the Ollerton/Edwinstowe roundabout.
There is a bus service from Mansfield, or connecting to the Nottingham service at Ollerton. The nearest train station is nottingham (Midland mainline. The cottage is on the edge of the village, very close to the church, which is the best landmark. |
