Small but cosy refurbished cottage, originally the granary of a farm.
Superb views of Solway sunsets to front and lakeland hills to rear.
Only half hour drive to Lake district.
Beautiful walks along farm tracks and Mawbray dunes on Solway coast.
Good food at pub in nearby village, ten minutes walk.
Old Norman church in village with a lot of history.
We have a games room which you can use with a pool table, darts, treadmill and weight bench. There is an outside small patio area with table and chairs.
Home made bread/rolls provided on arrival.
Maryport is five minutes drive and has lots to offer visitors. The Roman museum has spectacular roman alters. The marina and harbour are idyllic places to while away a day. The maritime museum has many items of interest including the Maryport connection to the Titanic.
The Aquarium is a popular tourist attraction for visitors.
There are many other attractions, too numerous to mention, to hold your attention, whatever the weather.
We have several festivals during the year, the Blues festival being
very well organised and supported. Joules Holland was last years star.
