Bousdale Old Stables is a VisitBritain 5-star rated holiday cottage on the edge of the North York Moors National Park in the foothills of Roseberry Topping.
The cottage provides spacious, comfortable accommodation to return to after your exploration of the coast, countryside, forest, open moorland, and variety of other visitor attractions nearby.
The cottage occupies a hilltop location between the village of Great Ayton (boyhood home of Captain Cook) and the historic market town of Guisborough. The myriad of footpaths and bridleways leading from the doorstep make it an ideal location for walkers and mountain bikers, with the Cleveland Way and Moor-to-Sea cycle route being close by.
Bousdale Old Stables has been restored from redundant Victorian farm buildings and has all modern amenities.
It consists of:
Downstairs - a large lounge area with a wood burner (TV with Freeview Digital package, DVD and video player, CD player/radio with MP3 facility), a kitchen/dining room with dishwasher, range-style cooker with 8-ring gas hob, utility room with washer/dryer and downstairs WC.
Upstairs - 2 double bedrooms (1 ensuite), 1 twin room, and main bathroom.
The sympathetic conversion boasts oak floors and doors throughout. In addition to the wood burner, central heating and ample hot water are provided via an Eco-friendly external biomass boiler (no maintenance required by guests).
A generous welcome pack of local produce awaits your arrival. Towels and bed linen are also included (weekly change).
Facilities for children include cot, highchair, stair gates, fireguard, and a selection of toys.
Secure bike wash and storage facilities are available on request.
A maximum of 2 well-behaved pets are permitted by prior arrangement (strict booking terms apply).
