Curlew Cottage is a delightful one bedroom Grade II listed 18th century former lead miner's cottage, commanding spectacular views over Swaledale in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Curlew Cottage has been lovingly renovated to a high standard and boasts a combination of all the facilities that are invaluable for a comfortable and refreshing holiday, while retaining all the character and delights of an old English cottage.
The cottage is bright and airy with wooden floors throughout; it is heated throughout by easy to use wall mounted electric storage/convector heaters.
In the sitting room/dining area, there is ample seating and uninterrupted views of Swaledale.
The fitted kitchen is well equipped and incorporates an electric hob and oven.
The spacious bedroom has a super king size bed and dressing table; it also includes a high beamed ceiling and feature fire place.
Superb views of the dale can be enjoyed from the window seat. The bathroom incorporates a bath with hand held shower over the bath, WC and wash hand basin as well as a shaver point and heated towel rail.
Outside the cottage there is a gravelled terrace with a wrought iron table and chairs, from where guests can enjoy the magnificent views.
Curlew Cottage is ideally placed for exploring Swaledale, known for its flower meadows and stone barns, as well as the Yorkshire Dales generally.
Guests can enjoy walking direct from the door. The surrounding area includes some lovely market towns such as Richmond, Hawes and Leyburn.
Other local attractions include Askrigg, famed for its connection with the TV series 'All Creatures Great and Small', the Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle and Aysgarth Falls.
Venture a little further afield and visit Durham, York, the Yorkshire Moors, Hadrians Wall or the Lake District.
