Bruaich Rainich, the name is Gaelic for Bracken Brae, is a traditional crofters family home. Built from local stone during 1923 by the Grandfather of the current owner.
Set in a peaceful hollow beneath the hills in the village of Polbain near Achiltibuie, every window provides stunning views of the Summer Isles, Loch Broom and the Torridon Mountains beyond.
The house is spacious, sunny and comfortable. The original timber panelling and period furniture retain the Highland charm of days gone by, while soft furnishings and a modern kitchen provide creature comforts unheard of when the house was built.
The cottage is now available, throughout the year, as Self Catering accomodation. It is a great favourite of people from all walks of life who seek a retreat from the turmoil of modern living without sacrificing too many of it's comforts.
Accomodation comprises a king size bed in one room and double bed and single bed in second room. Hairdryers provided.
Bathroom with traditional rolltop bath.Heated towel rail.
Comfortable sitting room with HD freeview satellite TV,DVD,Video players. Bookcase and toybox.
Very well equipped kitchen with auto washing machine, Fridge/freezer, bread maker, coffee machine, microwave etc.
Separate Dining room.
Although we don't have a central heating system, there are oil fired electric radiators in every room as well as open fire and electric log stoves even in bedrooms.
