The 200 year old "Bronte Cottage" is a "hidden gem" tucked away in the conservation area of Gomersal, situated in the "Spen Valley" in West Yorkshire.
Surrounded by similar cottage properties and close to waymarked footpaths and Country Park, the cottage offers the perfect base from which to explore the numerous award winning attractions in the Yorkshire region, including the exciting Royal Armouries, National Media Museum, National Coal Mining Museum, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, historic houses and much more.
The local area holds particular interest for industrial heritage and literary enthusiasts as the setting for the novel "Shirley" by Charlotte Bronte, in which the nearby 'Red House Museum' and'Oakwell Hall Manor House' feature significantly.

All the rooms are spacious yet cosy, with a high standard of coordinating furnishings, decor and facilities. The enclosed cottage garden with small lawned area offers a great space for relaxing or alfresco dining.
The internal accommodation is arranged over two floors, with the Lounge, Dining Room and Kitchen located on the Ground Floor. A large Double Bedroom with King size bed, spacious Twin Room and luxury Bathroom with separate shower are on the First Floor. A full size folding single bed can be provided in the lounge for a 5th person.
