Ellis Howe is a beautiful detached 18th century cottage set in an enclosed garden with superb views of Coniston Old Man and the surrounding fells..
Ellis Howe enjoys VisitBritain 4 star rating and is equipped to a high standard. It can be a cosy romantic retreat or an excellent base for touring the Lake District.
The cottage is comfortably furnished for five and retains many of the original features including flagged floors, meat hooks and fireplaces.

Washing machine and tumble dryer.
Wood burning/multifuel stove - smokeless fuel provided.

Coniston Water is a short distance from the cottage through woodlands over Torver Common. There are many other walks and climbs in the immediate area.

Ellis Howe is the only house in the post code LA21 8BH. It stands just off the A 5084.
From Junction 36 on the M6: Follow the A590 through Newby Bridge, turn right onto the A5084 at Greenodd ( beware of the bad junction/turning here). The road turns off towards Torver after a few miles. Ellis Howe is the white cottage 200 metres after the Torver village sign. ( Full travelling details are provided on booking) |
