The Bunkhouse, Glassie Farm provides two fantastic hilltop family / group accommodation self-catering units with amazing views overlooking Aberfeldy, so when you visit Scotland be sure not to miss this idyllic retreat and isolated party centre in Highland Perthshire.
Situated at 1,000 feet on a south facing mountainside, the stunning location will make you feel extremely relaxed after a busy day out on the local hills and lochs. Which also makes this the perfect location for club gatherings, stag and hen parties and outdoor activity weekends or just a place to re-charge / chill-out and take in the amazing scenery with family and friends.
Kayakers / Canoeists;
The rivers of Highland Perthshire are a fantastic place to learn to kayak. It has mile after mile of easy white water which runs all summer. Try using The National Kayak School (Tel: 01887 820 498), or for the seasoned kayaker there is always the slalom course at Grandtully.
Walkers / Munroe Baggers; We are walking distance from Farragon, with Ben Lawers and Glen Lyon just further up the valley. There are plenty of local walks for all standards and abilities, these include The Birks O Aberfeldy, The Hermitage, Drummond Hill.
Golfers; Different course each day of the week? Yes, heres what you could play; , Aberfeldy, Strathtay, Pitlochry, Dunkeld + Birmam, St.Andrews, Kenmore , Carnoustie and Gleneagles just to mention a few of the 30+ or so courses within easy travelling times.
Disabled facilities are available in the original unit with access for 2 wheelchairs, with purpose built shower / WC room, newly re-firbished February 2007 with new flooring.
Whisky Lovers plenty of fantastic local distilleries to tour, these include; Dewars of Aberfeldy of which we can see down in the other side of the valley, Famous Grouse at Crieff and Bells near Pitlochry with plenty more less commercial ones within the area.

Original Unit has ground floor room with access for 2 wheelchairs and a wet room facility. Outdoor Facilities: No. Shared drying room between the two individual units. The Bunkhouse can be booked as a Whole Facility that can sleep up to 39, or by booking individual units which can sleep 14 and 25.
A 2 Day Weekend in the Newer Unit which sleeps 14 is; £420.00. A 2 Day Weekend in the Original Unit which sleeps 25 is; £750.00. Individuals are £15.00 per person per night. |

Via Aberfeldy:
Come off the A9 at Ballinluig and follow signs for Aberfeldy Into and through the town centre to the cross roads with traffic lights (at the Black Watch Pub), turn right and follow the B846 over Wades Bridge. Take the first right at the brown tourism sign: "Glassie Farm Bunkhouse 2 miles", just before the Aileen Craggan Follow the road for aprox 800 meters, you will then see a yellow sign on right hand side for "The Bunkhouse" Turn left at this sign and follow the signs up track 1.5 miles... watching out for Red Squirrels, Deer and Pheasants en-route. There are mile signs at 1.4 miles / 1 mile / 0.5 miles Via Strathtay: Come off the A9 at Ballinluig Follow A827 signs for Grandtully Take 1st right over bridge at Grandtully Follow road to left up to Strathtay Post Office & Stores located on the T-junction Turn left in direction of Weem - 5 miles The Bunkhouse sign is 4.7miles on this road Go past: Edradynate > Cluny House Gardens > Tombuie and theYellow Bunkhouse sign is on left hand side Turn right at this sign - The Bunkhouse is up this track 1.5 miles... watch out for Red Squirrels, Deer and Pheasants en-route.
