    Solway View Caravan & Camping Site, is located with stunning views over the estuary of the River Dee into the Solway Firth. Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the coastal farmland that surrounds you and please feel free to explore with the Farm Trail & woodland walks.

    Widely spaced Touring & Camping pitches are available. We have electric hook-up & hard standing. There is a picnic bench and brick BBQ area at each Touring pitch. Caravans, Motorhomes, Tents & Trailer Tents are very welcome

    Solway View also has 3 Large Wooden Wigwams available for Hire. Individuals, Couples, Families and well behaved Groups very welcome. Each Wigwam will sleep up to 5 people max. Wigwams are very comfortable, spacious & warm - ideal for that all year round camping experience. Equipped with foam mattresses, with electricity for heating & light. Inside: A fridge, kettle, toaster and a microwave/gill is provided. Outside: A campfire pit, picnic bench, Brick BBQ & parking area.

    Solway View is an ideal base to enjoy & explore the local countryside, villages and towns. Nearby - The Artist town of Kirkcudbright, Castle Douglas and Gatehouse-of-fleet.

    Also nearby, Cream O' Galloway Ice-cream & Outdoor play area. Here they have a great outside adventure play area & an inside play barn, catering for children of all ages. They have a Fabulous selection of ice cream and a tea-room with a great selection of meals.

    There are many facilities and activities you can enjoy while you are in this beautiful part of Scotland. Mountain Biking at 7 Stanes, Beaches, Water Sports, Bird Watching, Hill walking, Climbing, Gardens, Golf, fishing and National Cycle routes and much much more.

    From Carlisle/Dumfries:
    A75 exit for Kircudbright(KBT) A711. Go through KBT, turn right at blue shop B727,exit KBT. Take first left after 30 mile limit sign. follow B727 Borgue. Take left Brighouse Bay/Ross Bay. Take left Ross Bay. Follow to Solway View.

    From Stranraer:
    A75 right exit for KBT A755, 2nd Right for Borgue. Through Borgue for KBT. Right turn to Brighouse Bay/ Ross Bay. Take Left Ross Bay. Follow to Solway View.
