Welcome to the Westbourne, a beautiful, traditionally stone built Lakeland Guest House situated in a peaceful area below the local beauty spot, 'Biskey Howe View Point'.
All our 7 en suite bedrooms have been tastefully furnished to a very high standard each with its own style and character. For your comfort each room provides a hairdryer, radio alarm clock, colour TV and in the bathroom toiletries and fresh towels every day. There are tea/coffee making facilities in your room including hot chocolate and biscuits. All rooms have newly refurbished bathrooms.
Breakfast brings an excellent choice, from a traditional Full English breakfast to a variety of healthy alternatives, including fresh fruits, yoghurts, porridge and many varieties of cereals. Vegetarians, special diets and preferences are happily catered for.
Feel free to relax in the cosy lounge by the log fire on chilly winter evenings or outside in the colourful garden on warm sunny nights with a drink from the guest bar.

Your hosts Howard and Amanda aim to make sure your stay in the Lake District is as memorable as possible, with this in mind we are able to offer advice on the best places to dine, complimentary booklets on days out and short walks and other local information including hiring of bikes, boat trips and for the more adventurous canoeing, outdoor pursuits etc. We can also advise you on events happening whilst you are in the area.

From M6 jct 36 follow A590/A591 towards Windermere. Turn off A591 left at Windermere into Victoria Street past the tourist information centre, follow road to Bowness. Police station on left hand side of road. Turn 2nd road on left onto Biskey Howe Road. Follow road for 200 yds Westbourne on corner, left hand side. Trains to Windermere, taxi rank immediately outside as is bus station. Disembark bus at Stuarts Sports Shop.
