Glenan Lodge is a relaxed, country guest house offering hotel-grade service at Guest House prices. All rooms are en-suite with tea/coffee facilities and colour TV. We also have a TV lounge with videos and a small selection games for children.

Home-cooked evening meals are available by prior arrangement and we have a licensed bar so that you can sample some of the local malt whiskies.

Tomatin is situated midway between the Highland Capital of Inverness and the skiing centre of Aviemore (15 miles either way) on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. The area is ideal for walking, cycling (cycle route 7 from Perth to Inverness runs through the village), shooting, deer stalking, bird-watching and fishing - we have a 2 mile beat on the river Findhorn for some of the finest salmon and wild brown trout fishing in the country.

For the bird-watcher we are close to the RSPB reserves at Loch Garten (Ospreys) and Loch Ruthven (Slavonian Grebes) and there are all manner of birds of prey in the immediate area including Golden Eagles.

For skiers who don't want to stay in the ski resort and don't mind driving to the slopes we are only 25minutes from the base station of the Cairngorm resort. We are next door to the Tomatin Distillery which has a vistor centre.

Alternatively, you can use Glenan Lodge as a base for touring the Highlands as there are many places of interest within easy reach - e.g. Culloden Battlefield, Cawdor Castle, Loch Ness, Strathspey Railway.
