Tucked away down a narrow winding lane lies the gem that is Cyfie Farm. Perched above the Vyrnwy Valley this is a Farm Guesthouse in a class of its own. The guest accommodation is 3 self contained suites in a converted stable and corn store attached to the beautiful 17th century Welsh longhouse. All suites have their own private sitting rooms, 2 with log fires. Two have separate entrances and kitchenettes and the third is accessed from the farmhouse kitchen and has the use of the farmhouse utility room.
Pine furniture and exposed beams create a country feel in comfortable surroundings where guests are encouraged to relax and enjoy the peace all day. Each room has an immensely comfortable bed with crisp linen, spacious bathrooms with fluffy bathrobes, towels and luxury toiletries.
Surrounded by 20 acres of garden and farmland, the views are stunning - best enjoyed from the hot tub and sauna overlooking the valley - and this peaceful and remote retreat is uninterrupted by traffic noise.
Breakfast, and dinner if required, is served in the house using local, seasonal produce and the water is supplied from the farm's own spring. Cyfie Farm offers a particularly relaxed atmosphere whilst maintaining the reputation for fine food, comfort and attention to detail that you would expect from a Wolsey Lodge.
Your hosts
Neil and Claire are warm, welcoming and delightful company. Neil spent 31 years in the RAF and Claire was a teacher and management consultant prior to moving to Cyfie Farm. They are both very enthusiastic about their new lifestyle, are both Cordon Bleu trained cooks and enjoy horse riding and country pursuits.
The location
Set in mid Wales, the farm is ideal for walking and horse riding with lakes, mountains and castles all around. The coast and Snowdonia National Park are within an easy drive through spectacular, rugged scenery and Chester and Shrewsbury are within easy reach.
