The Guesthouse at Rempstone is located within the pleasant village of Rempstone itself, set amidst rolling Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire farmland. It is just off the A60 and is close to the M1 motorway, Nottingham East Midlands Airport, Loughborough and Nottingham.
We are conveniently located close to Preswold Hall, popular for wedding, banquets and corporate entertainment and its many outside facilities, including its own motor racing circuit, offering a multitude of driving experiences.
The Guesthouse at Rempstone, adjacent to the village church, dates back to 1890, when it was a Coaching Inn known as the Ship Inn.
It has been carefully refurbished and extended to offer 12 large airy bedrooms, a guest lounge and a dining room. It offers guests a licensed homely lounge, with colour TV, DVD facilities and traditional games.
Our licensed dining room offers fresh home cooked breakfast and evening meals (Mon to Thur) using locally grown produce wherever possible.
All bedrooms are complete with radiator, washbasin, fresh bedding & towels, hair drier, clock-radio, TV and tea-coffee making facilities.
All bedrooms are non-smoking and have a smoke sensor - smoking is not permitted within the building.
Washing, drying and ironing facilities are available.
The local area has many attractions within easy reach, including 10 golf centres within 8 miles, fishing, walking, museums, theatres, cinemas and theme parks to entertain young and old alike.
Rempstone village boasts plenty of history, including an 18th Century church dedicated to All Saints. Opened by the Archbishop of York in 1773, the church was built out of the ruins of St Peters in-the-Rushes - an ancient church located some half a mile from the current church site.
Located on Main Street along with thatched cottages, is the White Lion Public House, dating back to the 1650s and to this day offering real ales, open fires and a true local atmosphere. The Village Hall also located nearby is the home of the local young farmers association and hosts frequent social events.
With on-site parking and facilities for the disabled, we look forward to welcoming you to the Guesthouse at Rempstone, assuring you of our personal attention at all times, to make your stay with us enjoyable and relaxing.
