Situated in the 19th century service wing of Sudbury Hall, the Museum contains fascinating displays about children from the 18th century onwards.

Glimpse into the past and experience growing up during the last 100 years. Fascinating displays ranging from a wealthy family's nursery and an Edwardian schoolroom to a chimney climb and coal tunnel for adventurous youngsters. Come for a visit and find out how children lived and worked in the past.

    Opening Times
    (2006 times)
    Museum: 11th March to 29th October Wednesday to Sunday 1.00pm - 5.00pm. Last admission 4.30pm.

    From 22nd July to 3rd September the Museum will be open 7 days a week similar opening times.

    The Museum will be Closed from the 29th October 2006 for renovation. Re-opening 2008.

    Just 25 minutes west of Derby, 15 minutes east of Utoxeter, 40 minutes from Nottingham and an hour from Leicester by A50/A517 roundabout.
