Fine Art
Kirkcaldy Museum & Art Gallery, set in the town's lovely War Memorial Gardens, houses a collection of fine and decorative arts of local and national importance. We have an outstanding collection of 18th-20th century Scottish paintings and boast what is probably the largest public collection of works by William McTaggart and Scottish Colourist SJ Peploe outside the National Galleries of Scotland. The collection also includes a significant number of
the works of the Glasgow Boys, as will as modern works ranging from Sickert and Lowry to Redpath and Bellany.Museum
An award winning permanent museum display entitled 'Changing Places' tells the story of the social, industrial and natural heritage of the district. It includes areas of open display, room and natural history sets and special 'please touch' sections.
Exhibitions
The three first floor temporary galleries offer a lively programme of changing exhibitions
throughout the year, featuring arts, crafts, photography, social and natural history. We aim to bring you the best from the UK and abroad with shows which range from the avant-garde to the whimsical - and everything in between!Additional Information:
